An experienced and highly skilled Controls Engineer is required for my client who design and build special purpose automated machinery for a variety of sectors involved in high volume production. The ideal candidate will have PLC software design install and commission background as well as circuit and control panel design.

Role:
The successful Controls Engineer will be responsible for control circuit design for automated machinery. AutoCAD and electrical circuit design packages, customer specifications, bills of materials, quotes and literature. PLC / HMI software design Installation and commissioning of systems. Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen Bradley and Omron.

Requirements:
Control circuit design for automated machinery.
Control panel design & construction
Experience of design software e.g. AutoCAD and electrical circuit design packages.
Working to customer specifications.
Specification of electrical control components.
Constructing bills of materials, sales quotations, and technical literature.
Knowledge of Machinery Directives.
Installing control systems on automated machines.
Working alongside other Engineers.
Installation and commissioning of systems.
PLC software design, installation and commissioning.
Experience of Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron PLC's.
HMI software design, installation and commissioning.
Experience in vision, robotics, servo systems, and pneumatic systems would be advantageous.
Development of automated systems.
Occasional work on customers premises both in the UK and abroad.
