Process and Automation Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity to join my client, a leading designer, manufacturer and installer of fire training simulators with facilities in the UK and office in the Middle East.

Role:
The successful Process/Automation Design Engineer would be based in the midlands in the UK but would involve travelling to support our overseas contracts in such places as Oman, Saudi Arabia, France, Denmark, and Kuwait. The successful candidate would ideally be able to develop into a design engineer for my client and training and product familiarisation would be provided.

Requirements (Ability to develop these skills):

PLC/Automation software, particularly Siemens based S7 and HMI control equipment technology experience.
Industrial communication BUS technology, particularly ProfiBus and AS-interface.
Field sensors and devices utilising both the above communications and standard analogue devices
Troubleshoot/fault find on electrical circuitry, from circuit board/electronic level up to 3phase electrics and provide safe and practical solutions to issues.
