A new opportunity for a skilled and experienced crane field service engineer to work on various types of cranes such as overhead, gantry, jib and hoist. The ideal candidate will be based in the Cheshire or surrounding area have a flexible approach to working on both projects and servicing in equal measure with customers UK wide.
Role:
The successful crane service engineer will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for maintenance and servicing / breakdown of mechanical handling equipment, including factory and jib cranes, wire rope & chain hoists of all sizes. My client operates from their North West depot in Cheshire. The engineer will be given work orders at the beginning of the week with a flexible approach to working on both projects and servicing in equal measure with customers UK wide.
Requirement:
Electrically biased
Mechanical skills, crane specific
PLC skills : particularly Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley
Full clean UK driving license
HNC or equivalent in Engineering discipline an advantage.
Must be capable of working alone in pressure downtime scenarios.
Knowledge of some or all of the following manufacturers: Street Cranes, Kone Cranes, Demag, Granada Cranes, Morris.
Package:
Salary + benefits negotiable – £DOE
Overtime rates: 1.5 times on Saturday and weekdays (First 6 hours after normal working hours) with 2.0 times thereafter until 7.00am and Sundays and night rate also at 2.0 times.
